£9.25 per hour

Role overview:

If you’re looking for a part time job that you can fit around your family and other commitments, then this could be the one for you! Our friendly and dedicated team at River Mead School are hiring a Cleaner, who will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning, washing, sweeping and mopping
  • Emptying litter bins
  • Polishing and dusting
  • Using powered equipment (e.g. vacuum cleaners, polishers) where appropriate
  • Detecting and reporting premises defects
  • Supporting the Premises Manager in undertaking repairs allowing for priorities, paying particular attention to Health & Safety
  • Undertaking any necessary action in event of bad weather or emergency (eg putting down salt and clearing paths in winter)
  • Any other duties which reasonably fall within the role of the post holder

(Please note that designated areas include toilets and showers.)

Your duties will vary depending on whether it’s term-time or if the school is closed. ‘Term time’ includes our TD Days (you can find the dates of these here)
and you will need to complete two weeks of deep cleaning during the school holidays.

All duties must be carried out within the codes of practice of the School Health & Safety Policy.
