This appointment is to provide temporary cover pending the outcome of an organisational review and will cease when a permanent staffing structure has been secured. There may be the opportunity for the post to become permanent, for the right candidate pending the outcome of the staffing structure review.

River Mead School is a nurturing and friendly primary school, with a growing nursery on site and a Resource base for children with complex learning needs; River Mead is part of the wider family of the The Mead Academy Trust. For the successful candidate, this exciting development offers the opportunity to be part of a high functioning team.

We are seeking to appoint a Midday Supervisory Assistant to start ASAP. The role will involve working as part of the MDSA team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • General cleaning, washing & sweeping, emptying litter bins
  • Setting up and cleaning in the lunch hall
  • Supporting children in the lunch hall and/or in the play ground
  • Any other duties which reasonably fall within the role of the postholder

Previous experience of supporting children is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
