Hours:

TA: 28.5 hours a week plus some additional hours to support our Wrap Around Care provision (3.15pm – 6.00pm)

MDSA: 2.5 hours per week

39 weeks per year  

8.45am – 3.15pm plus additional hour on a Thursday (planning and preparation time, with Class Teacher) from 3.30pm – 4.30pm

Role overview:

The Mead Community Primary School is part of The Mead Academy Trust. It is an exciting and rewarding place to work. We are a two form entry school with an onsite nursery and we are currently recruiting for a skilled and committed Teaching Assistant for September 2021 to join our team and would love to hear from applicants who are:

  • Passionate about improving learning opportunities for all children within a creative curriculum
  • Able to form positive relationships and foster the characteristics of effective learning
  • Committed to valuing and supporting the development of each child
  • Motivated to develop their skills to support highly effective learning
  • Flexible, with a strong commitment to teamwork
  • Energetic and enthusiastic with a good sense of humour
  • Trained in First Aid, or willing to undertake training
  • Confident in the use of basic IT including Word, Smart boards and the internet
  • Able to communicate well both verbally and in writing with children and adults alike
  • Qualified in NVQ Level 2 in Teaching and Learning, or higher, ideally NVQ Level 3

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a track record of shaping practice around the following principles:
