Role overview:

    Castle Mead school is a vibrant, growing primary school in the heart of East Trowbridge. Rated ‘Good’ at its last Ofsted inspection, the school continues to go from strength to strength under the new leadership of Mrs Emma Larkham, with two form entry, an onsite Nursery and Complex Needs Resource Base.

    Mrs Larkham and her Senior Leadership Team are now recruiting for Teaching Assistants to join her dedicated, passionate team from 1st September 2021. There are possible positions available across the school’s mainstream year groups, in the Nursery, and in the Resource Base so we welcome applications from individuals interested with any of these groups of children. We are also happy to consider full time and part time applications.

    • Able to form positive relationships and foster the characteristics of effective learning
    • Committed to valuing and supporting the development of each child
    • Motivated to develop your skills to support highly effective learning
    • Flexible, with a strong commitment to teamwork
    • Energetic and enthusiastic with a good sense of humour
    • Trained in First Aid, or willing to undertake training
    • Confident in the use of basic IT including Word, Smart boards and the internet
    • Able to communicate well both verbally and in writing with children and adults alike
    • Qualified in NVQ Level 2 in Teaching and Learning, or higher
