A new Radstock Co-operative store opened its doors on a corner plot at the edge of Castle Mead last week, just 100 metres away from Castle Mead School. The store is the first branch of the society to open outside of Somerset and was officially opened on 18th January by pupils from the school, who performed the cutting-of-the-ribbon ceremony before being given a tour of the shop.

To mark the occasion of the society’s involvement with the community, a cheque for £300 was also presented to the school’s headteacher, Tracy Boulton.

We would like to thank everyone at the Co-operative for their time and support, and we look forward to continuing to build strong relationships with the store in the future.
