Our preferred hours are 4.00pm – 6.30pm Monday to Friday term-time only, but we can be flexible for the right candidate. There will be an additional two weeks’ deep cleaning during school holidays each year.

We have a vacancy for an Afternoon Cleaner / General Assistant to work at The Mead Primary School in Hilperton. The role will involve cleaning the school, including:
• Hoovering and mopping
• Polishing and dusting
• Emptying litter bins
• Using powered equipment (e.g. vacuum cleaners, polishers) where needed
• Spotting and reporting premises defects
• Taking action in event of bad weather or emergency (for example, putting down salt and clearing paths in winter)

To be really effective in this role, you’ll be someone who is:
• Energetic and enthusiastic
• Reliable
• Conscientious
• Able to follow direction, as well as work from your own initiative

It would be an added bonus if you had some flexibility to work additional hours, if need be, and access to your own vehicle.

This role will involve contact with children and the post holder will be engaged in regulated activity relevant to children and will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check before appointment is confirmed.
