32 – 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Exact timings are negotiable, but the post holder will be required to work a split shift of approximately 8.00am – 12.30pm and 4.00pm – 6.30pm each day

Role overview
We have a vacancy for a Housekeeping Supervisor based at The Mead Primary School (Hilperton). Working within a cross-Trust team of other Supervisors, and with the Housekeeping staff on site at the school, the post holder will:
• Support the children when needed (eg: first aid, administering medication, playground duty if cover is required)
• Maintain all areas of the school buildings in a clean, tidy and hygienic condition
• Assist in the organisation and completion of major periodic cleaning activities
• Be responsible for the care and proper use of cleaning equipment and materials
• Ensure the security of the buildings during the course of your duties including acting as a keyholder, setting and immobilising school alarms appropriately
• Respond to emergency calls / provide support in holidays when necessary
• Supervise and organise programmes of work for housekeeping staff
• Report any breakdowns, defects etc. within the school
• Check the school heating, electricity and water systems and maintain the necessary records in accordance with the recognised systems
• Execute daily and weekly Health and Safety checklist
