Role overview
River Mead School is a caring, vibrant school in the heart of Melksham. There are about 260 children at the school, and the staff prides itself on the family atmosphere within the school. Everyone works together to create a calm, safe place for children to learn.

The school would like to appoint a Midday Supervisory Assistant (MDSA) to work one hour a day over lunchtimes. Our MDSAs support children in the lunch hall, and cleaning up as required. It would be an advantage if you have some flexibility to work additional hours, if needed, but this isn’t essential. The core hours for the role are 12 – 1pm, or 12.30 – 1.30pm, Monday to Friday. It is term time only (38 weeks a year).

Full training will be given to the right person, and previous experience of working in a school isn’t necessary. We are looking for people who have:
• Previous experience of cleaning
• A willingness to “muck in”
• The ability to work flexibly and be a real team player
• A child-centred view on work
• An energetic, adaptable, reliable and friendly personality
