You may have read in the news an announcement by the DFE about £50 million being allocated to funding additional childcare places across the country.

We are delighted to be able to tell you that this week we have been told that some of this money will be designated to The Mead to enable us to build a Nursery classroom for 3-4yr olds on the Hilperton site, which will be open in September 2017. We aim to use our beautiful gardens to create The Orchard Nursery which will have strong links with our current Early Years learning spaces. The Nursery will provide funded 30hr places for eligible children with working parents and additional sessions to support other children and families. Our current aim is that the main sessions run between 8:45am and 4:15pm to tie in with school drop off and collection times, with the option to have extended days for parents who work longer hours.

Our new Nursery building is subject to planning consent, but we hope to be able to tell you more about this project very soon.
