The Mead school at Wingfield is welcoming a new Head of site from September 2019. Neil Griffiths has been promoted from a leadership post at the school’s Hilperton site, to Head of Site at Wingfield, and brings with him a strong understanding of teaching in an outstanding school.

“Taking over the leadership of the Wingfield site is a fantastic opportunity for me and one that I’m incredibly excited to get stuck into as soon as possible,” said Neil. “I’m planning to build on the great work that has been done over the last few years, continue to drive The Mead at Wingfield forward and deliver the best possible provision for all of the children in the school. I’m fully committed to my new role and really looking forward to getting to know the children and families over the next few months.”

Mr Griffiths will also be the new teacher in the mixed Nursery and Reception class and is looking forward to working with the team to ensure that all children have the very best start to their primary education. The Mead has long been recognised nationally for excellence in Early Years education with children being afforded a wide range of rich and engaging experiences to light learning sparks and nurture their emerging talents.

Head of The Mead School, Emma Holton, said, “I am absolutely delighted with the appointment of Neil Griffiths as the new Head at Wingfield. He is a highly dedicated and experienced teacher and leader; I am certain that his leadership will enable the children, staff and families at our Wingfield site to continue to flourish.

“Mr Griffiths has already begun to visit the site and get to know the children and families in readiness for September and I can’t imagine a better person to lead the school over the next few years.”

The Mead at Wingfield has spaces available in the Nursery and Reception class for September 2019. Mr Griffiths looks forward to welcoming prospective parents into the school so that they can discuss the possibility of joining and see first-hand the high-quality facilities that are on offer on site for children aged 3 -11. Parents can either book a 1:1 tour or attend the school’s Open afternoon on Tuesday 9 July 2019.
