What we do
The Mead Trust is an organsiation with a very high moral purpose. We aim to provide Inspirational Learning for All members of our schools and our wider communities.
We facilitate a wide range of professional learning opportunities. This includes programmes for those people just thinking of beginning a career within schools, teaching assistants, teachers, middle and senior leaders. We also lead an Initial Teacher Training School Direct Programme in collaboration with The University of Gloucester, ensuring a supply of high quality Early Career Teachers for the locality.
As a Trust we are very experienced in providing high quality school support and improvement. We work closely with schools to plan and develop a bespoke model of support to meet individual needs. This may include improvement at a whole school level, or working alongside an individual staff member to model, coach, mentor and monitor improvement. We are able to draw on the knowledge, skills, and experience of a number of Specialist Learning Experts to support this work, as necessary.
We are committed to evidence-based practice and research engagement. We use this to inform our practice at all levels and to support the development of innovative approaches, which have been documented within a number of journal articles, including Professional Development Today and in the book The Rearch Informed Teaching Revolution – a handbook for the 21st Century.
