Parent portal: School meals
We believe in children learning about the benefits of living healthy lifestyles. We work closely with Wiltshire Healthy Schools and have gained awards in each of our schools. Each of our schools cook fresh healthy meals for lunch with a vegetarian meal offered everyday as well as ‘buffet bars’. All children in Key Stage 1 are entitled to a Universal Infant Free School Meal, a great initiative that ensures you save money and your children have a healthy meal at lunchtime.
We encourage the children in Key Stage 2 to bring in healthy snacks for playtime and on Tuesday a lump of cheese, for ‘Cheese Tuesday’. We prefer a piece of cheese cut from a block rather than strings as these are not as healthy an option.
Children in Key Stage 1 receive a free piece of fruit for their snack during the school day.
Children can have milk ordered from Coolmilk.
In our curriculum we plan for children to learn about healthy eating and information can be found here.
